Spider-Woman# 3

Wasn’t truly invested in this book, not sure why I am still buying it. But I was curious so… The beginning of the arc was good, but now, it’s becoming an old rehashed story between Shield and Hydra.. It’s becoming,, eh, and the art isn’t all that good either,, it just seems like a 12 year is doing it, especially how they draw nick furys stubble..

But of course, I’ll finish this series out, since im up to 3 already so…

DCU in Multi player online game

WOW,,

When i read this, i was like forget about it... I love multi-player online games,, one of my favorites is SOCOM 3 ....i play it every chance i get.... What i like about it, is that, its different everytime you play..now using that tech.. and put it in a DCU game, where you can create your own superhero, and powers.. much like in Fight Night, another great game, where you get to use a cusmotize boxer....
Now create your own superhero,, and fight int he DCU ... awesome...

Astonishing xmen#13

Its nice seeing the Hellfire club back,, it takes me back to my comic book hay day,,which is the early 90’s when xmen were all the rage, and there were about 20 different covers for every 1 comic, and we must have them all of course…
We starting to see Emma’s true intentions, well maybe…..
Just have to see how this plays out, I wasn’t really into this book, like the other xmen’s, only cool factor for me was wolverine in the danger room, or shall I say, he was the danger room….

Batman#650

AGAIN MS WORD CRASHED,, LOST SOME GREAT WRITING LOL--------

Ok this Jason Todd thing has been building for awhile,, now its full tilt, But of course it dosn’t end here, seems like I have to get batman annual 25 to see some kind of closure to this story arc.

This is what I like about the batman line, its true, its real, it’s believable.

All of Jason’s reason for being mad is valid, why is Joker still walking around after he has killed me, and has crippled Barbara….. That is a good freaking question….

Batman’s answer,, he won’t cross that line, he won’t turn into a criminal like he hunts down. This is why I think his reaction to Diana killing Maxwell Lord was deep,, even in Batman’s most darkest hour, he is still living his own imposed moral code of sorts….

This is one of thing I respect about Batman, he handles things in a semi non violent way… Meaning yes he kicks major ass, but he never goes to the level that Red Hood has already taken..I think that’s why Batman is respected in the DCU,, well was,,, I think now a days he is hated among the other Hero’s.

One thing that threw me off, was of course the bat a rang for Jason’s neck, WTF,, did he just wounded him really bad,, so bad that he could just bleed to death there, and why didn’t he at least just knock the joker out,, but of course if he did that, then it would be all too easy…

One thing I also like was the OYL last page of the book, where you see different kind of batman’s and Owlman makes an appearance…I wonder if he will play a role in the IC… I hope he does, I would like to see Bats and him square off…

Green Lantern #9

Of course, covers can always be deceiving.. Do Hal and Bruce fight??? Yeah they do, for like one panel… a bit of a rip off …… I like that Bruce is distrusting of GL, but what I question is why Bats calls GL in the first place, there’s no reason for it… Unless GL is the only person to take down this tattoo guy… Just seems forced………. The end seems rushed to me,,, now Bats and GL have made up,, which I didn’t like, I thought there tension will play out in IC, I guess not according to this book..

Of course the cover looks, alil broke Back Mountain, which is what i've been hearing a lot, lol…

All this is OYL, is making want to buy 52 more and more, to see what happens during that year…. Only thing, my mind is going to be in 3 diff time periods,, talk about boom tube….

The new avengers#16

This new story arc seems promising…

I WROTE MORE STUFF BEFORE, BUT MY MS WORD CRASHED..DAMN IT!!!

The previous arc, was sort of a dud to me… now things seem to be rolling, and the avengers will start doing what they are meant to do.

My biggest thing with this comic was the return of Alpha Flight.,, one of my favorite groups back in my hay day of comic buying…..

They were a group, in my circle of friends that nobody really read.. everyone was into Xmen, Avengers,, they were my lil team… they had nice inner drama within the group,, the group leaders being a married couple,, puck,,,it was all good…

Now the ad says, this is the last battle for Alpha Flight,,, I hope not, because I would be really pissed if it was… this is such a great team, don’t let them die in seconds without a fight…. They can’t not let this be the end for Alpha flight,, I want them to return to have there own book….

Supergirl # 5

This arc for me was alil weird. First the introduction of black kryptonite, finally it was used. So im guessing it unleashes evil in them…????.....Still confused by it, and where it came from, for some reason im thinking it was made here on earth. I don’t know….

But it was great seeing supergirl fight herself, and to see how powerful she has become, even more so then superman….so we thought…To hear superman saying that he has been holding back is great…. Just knowing that he can destroy things, can destroy people in a instant, made me realize why he is superman,, to know when to back off, and to know what his place on this earth is……

On a side note,, this ONE YEAR LATER thing,, its kind of bummer to find out already which characters will be around…. Like in Green Arrow,, the last issue,, he dies,, but we see in the back of the book, he is around 1 year later… so the impact of him getting killed by arrows is lost…..

So we know supergirl will be around OYL…

Relaunch 2006

The relaunch of Sort of a life’s Comic book blog. I’ve been so backed up in reading, that I just didn’t have it in me to blog about what I was reading, when I was 3 to 4 weeks behind.

So I’m just about caught up and should start blogging this weekend.

So in meantime, I just did a small redesign of the site, hope you likes.

So much going on in the DCU, and MU..cant wait to start blogging..
