Nightwing #118 OYL

One of the first OYL titles that ive read…..ok not bad…Jason Todd is still around,, there’s a hint that Barbara Gordon died in the Infinite Crisis,,, (see one of the things that I hate about the OYL titles), but over all a good story. Now that bludhaven has be destroyed, last we seen in Infinite Crisis,is the new playground,, be good to see the batman family out here in the city…

I’ll keep reading Nightwing, just because im a Batman fan, and this being the first robin; it’s just a title that I have to keep reading….A man living in the shadow of The Bat…

Teen Titans #33

Good issue, good cliff hanger to IC #6, now I can’t wait to get that issue. What it seems like is that the 2^nd generations of super heroes are the ones who will battle most in this crisis. I like that.

I freaked out a little when night wing put on one of his old costumes, I was like, was there a mistake on the cover??? Because it is known to happen.. I’m too paranoid sometimes lol,,, its explained why of course,, he wanted to fly with super boy, so he wouldn’t be a burden on him, since he is still recovering from the fight with super boy prime…

It was good to see the dynamic between 2 friends,, different ages, but similar baggage, They both have to deal with being in the shadow on of the Big 3, and how each of them has come on its own……

So now I want to know more of what happens to Beast Boy, Raven, Speedy,, I wonder if they will survive the Crisis,, especially Beast boy, since he is now remembering his other Earth life.. As part of the Doom Patrol….

My only fear with this whole crisis, is that it’ll end in a big dud….much like ID Crisis did for me,, yeah , it was shocking to see that a hero’s wife did it,, but I think it should’ve been a villain,, a B villain. I thought that would’ve fit better, and would’ve given the “oooooooooooooooooooooooo did you see that” factor

Ultimate Spiderman #91

This issue was going to be the make or break issue, of whether I was going to continue this book. The sable arc, and the whole thing, just really sucked for me. It had no point. And I see why people hate Bendis so much. For some reason I enjoyed this issue, what I like most is the dynamic of Kitty and Peter, it seems very real to me. Two young people in love and them dealing with being super hero’s on top of that. Should I dare say, it was cute??? Lol

So im going to pick up issue 92, just to see dead pool, which appeared at the end of the book, seems like him and the rest of his thugs have taken over the xmen mansion, now that’s something that’s hard to do, hopefully they fill me in on how he did it. And now they have spidey……. The drama continues ………. Lol

Infinite Crisis # 5

For some reason I put this book aside, I didn’t want to read it for awhile…but it was a good book…. The story telling was good,, there’s so much to cover.. And it was covered well…. I like the Earth 2 superman crashing the car to Earth 1 superman,, the classic shot from the first appearance of superman,, very cool…..So there are only 2 issues left from the end… will this make as big of a impact like the original crisis did?? Will there be multi earths again??? God I hope not… but then again, if there wasn’t,, what would be the point of the crisis??? Other then to realign the DCU again, and to destroy certain characters to get new ones….Will this be talked about from years to come like the Crisis before it was?? Hmmmm I don’t know,, hard to say right now….

But I enjoyed this book,, and the return of Super boy Prime!!!!,, im guessing Wally took him to the future??? I’m a lil confused about that, but of course I’ll wait and see…

outsiders#34

Ok, its OYL…( one year later) this is my first issue of a OYL,, its ok,, for now… not sure where its going right now… seems like the outsiders have been in hiding after the fallout of IC..Is this the line up??? Hope all the questions get answered in 52… Capt. Boomerang?? Wasn’t he an enemy?

My biggest problem with OYL,, I might have stated this before, so bare with me…. We now know what’s going to happen to some characters at the end of it,,, i.e., seeing Green Arrow died,, wasn’t big impact because we know the dude is still running around in green tights, one year later….

So what did I learn from this issue,, seems like somewhere , in either IC or 52,, the outsiders are tought to be dead, so I guess they will all die…. But of course they don’t really die because I just read this issue, arghhhhhhhhh!!!!!! My brain is hurting already… too many timelines ….

Marvel Zombies #4

What can I say about this book,,,, its just plain fun… Its nice to read something out of timeline with the rest of the books,, just to have something fun to read.. The only thing im wondering about is about the timeline with this book…. Because the FF4 zombies are in the ultimate line right now, and they are mentioned in this book so… just wondering…

But over all, a great read, just plain ol’ fun..

Batman Annual #25

So I finally find out how Jason Todd came back to life….. Ok it makes sense…it seemed alil forced with it coming from the IC,, with super boy cracking the glass, but it makes sense….

I questioning it all thru out,, how about the coffin??? Judd, answered all my questions…so not bad…

Also explains, even thought Jason explained it already, the reason for his anger against Batman,,, he never avenged his death…

Amazing Spider-Man #529

The only reason I picked up this issue was too see SP, in his new duds… You know,, not bad, for some reason I didn’t mind it so much, he has new toys to use… The only thing im worried about, is that its all gonna be about the suit and not about the story… I think Tony using Pete as sort of his gofer man, is a lil weird, I always looked SP as a loner, but now with the New Avengers Days,, its just has become his nature to be in a team…. We’ll see…..

Ultimate Fantastic Four # 27

I must say, I always enjoyed reading this run of FF4,, the stories are good enough that it keeps me coming back for more…. What I like most is that they also bring in the drama of them turning into the FF4… In this issue,, Ben is the most affected, he thinks of killing himself everyday, if he only knew how…… When I read this, I was like wow,, deep… You don’t read many books that they main character says he wants to kill himself…..Within this mix of drama,, comes action and story…. Right now, Reed has figured a way to cure Ben,, but he has to go back in time and correct what went wrong in the experiment…At the same time; Super Skrull is attempting the same thing, this I was alil confused about….

But overall, this has always been a good book….

Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk # 2

I’m starting to get into this book,, I loved the drama that Bruce is going thru… seem very real, and real reasons for him to flip out and become Hulk.. not that changing a tire in the rain and it slipping will not change you into the ever loving Hulk we love……

Love that Wolverine is SHEILD’S go to guy,,, a hunter,, and he’s looking for his prey…love that..

In the end, it seems like Bruce has learned to control Hulk, after spending time with the wise one,, he no longer speaks,, like HULK SMASH.. But complete sentences, unlike me on this blog …..lol

So this one is a keeper so far…. 2 thumbs up..

Captain America Vol5. #15

AGAIN MS WORD CRASHED ON ME….I GOT TO REMEMBER TO SAVE BEFORE I SPELL CHECK…

Ok so I wasn’t always the biggest fan of captain America, but I always respected the guy. So a friend of mine turned me on to the Winter Solider story arc,, which I enjoyed a lot. It was filled with a lot of drama; it was almost like a Jason Todd come back,..

Since I always had seen Cap, kind of a like Superman/Batman mix for the MU (Marvel Universe)…

In this issue we see a return of the old standard villain, Red Skull, the Joker in Batman… the one that he is most associated with…..

Im not really up on the history between the 2.

Now we found that he had a daughter, and put her thru some hellish stuff. Seems the Red Skull tortured the young girl, so she can grow up similar to him, so she can earn her rightfully place, as the Red Skull heir…

She was put thru hell at the hands of Red Skull’s handy man,., punching, drowning.. All for the sake of deprogramming her… Since SHEILD (aren’t they everywhere these days) got to her, and deprogrammed her from what the Red Skull has taught her…

Then she has sex with the guy who almost drowned her…..

I really don’t where this story arc is going, im going to give it a couple of issues, see if it grabs me like the Winter Solider did….
